Vacancy: Sales Executive
Location : Cape Town (Mowbray)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Attend sales meetings with key decision makers at large client prospects
- Consistently achieve sales objectives through sales to new customers and sales of additional services to existing customers
- Drive appropriate sales activity (via prospecting, video-calls, and face-to-face client interactions) to develop and maintain sales pipeline
- Manage and build relationships with senior level and decision-making personnel

- Ability to maintain professional personal presentation in both written and verbal communication
- Must have excellent analytical skills to understand market dynamics, determine appropriate strategies, and identify opportunities for growth and improvement

- Must be able to work with people at all levels of management within both internal and external customer arenas
- Team player working with multiple internal and external touch points in complex sales
- Excellent relationship building, presentation and communications skills
- Passionate and self-motivated to assist with driving deals to a successful conclusion and to deliver quality results
- The ability to influence and work successfully with varied audiences
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
- Good understanding of the buying cycles of customers
- Good understanding of complex bidding, RFx management
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Proficient knowledge of Salesforce CRM
- Proven record of understanding and creating terms and conditions for sale agreements
- Good knowledge of the retail business environment
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor ‘s degree or diploma in business is preferable
- 5+ years of sales experience, preferably in a software development and product services organization
- Successful experience selling solutions into the South African retail industry is mandatory
- Experience with sales contact database management programs such as Salesforce
- Knowledge of the retail industry, system business requirements and trends
